Coffee and Tea Sales, and World Leprosy Day!

Hey folks!

GREAT news -- we have samples of tea and coffee available this weekend for your tasting pleasure! The coffee and tea are from His Coffee, a fair-trade Catholic coffee company. Check out a photo of Mass last night -- Jane and Beth spoke at the 7pm Spanish Mass, and over 60 people came to try our coffee! Hope to see you for Fellowship Sunday in the Parish Center today. Be sure to try some coffee, or purchase a bag to take home!

Participants Jane, Beth and Ann Marie after the 7pm Mass. Thanks also to the Awalts and Lorenzis for coming to support, and for the priest and his kind words about the need for missionaries!

The reviews are in -- the coffee is extraordinary!

On another front, Pope Benedict XVI marked the 60th World Leprosy Day this Sunday, calling on people to entrust their prayers for those suffering from Hansen’s disease to the intercession of St. Damien de Veuster and the recently canonised St. Marianna Cope. Read more in this article.

Ecuador 2013 !!!

Hello again everyone!  As we begin the New Year, it is nice to take a moment and point out that Ecuador 2013 is only 6 ½ months away.  Although that may seem to be in the very distant future, the time will come faster than you think.  We are extremely lucky to have the opportunity to visit Damien House again, and this time, we brought friends!  Joining us this year are several new students and our new Youth Minister, Carlo.
Tonight we begin our journey towards Ecuador with our first meeting.  It seems like it was only yesterday that our first group began preparations, but here we are, a year later.  With all the excitement, we strive to keep you updated about our trip and meetings through this blog.  Since we are beginning our year a bit earlier, we are aiming to have more fundraisers throughout the next several months.  Thank you for all of your support and prayers and we hope to introduce our newest mission trip members very soon!
